🛕 Overview of Gurdwara Shri Pathar Sahib:
Gurdwara Shri Pathar Sahib is a revered Sikh shrine located about 25 km from Leh in Ladakh. Built in 1517 to commemorate Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s visit, it marks the spot where the Guru is believed to have meditated and performed a miracle. The shrine houses a sacred rock (pathar) believed to bear the imprint of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s back and a demon’s footprint, symbolizing the Guru’s spiritual victory. It is maintained by the Indian Army, and visitors of all faiths are welcome.
